I called this work
There was once someone I loved deeply—this time it wasn't a puppy, but a person who truly touched my soul. Life, as it so often does, placed invisible obstacles in our path. And although we didn't want it, we had to part ways. We had to say goodbye.
But his essence—his memory, his presence, the scent of what he was—still lives within me. At first, I tried to erase it. I wanted to forget him, to start over. But with time, my heart changed.
Today I choose to preserve that essence... not with pain, but with quiet acceptance. Perhaps one day it will dissolve on its own—or perhaps not.
But for now, I carry it with me like a soft whisper that accompanies me through my days.
In this illustration, the image says it all: life goes on. The woman keeps walking. The bag, and even the little dog, may be left behind for a moment... but she keeps going. She's not stuck. She's not broken. She's just... living.
That's the message I want to share: If something or someone leaves your life, let it be. Don't try to forcefully erase their essence. Let them be for a while. Allow them to be part of your growth. And most importantly: let your life go on.
Because healing doesn't mean forgetting. It means moving forward... with love still in your heart.
